Enjoyed Makoto #40. Thanks to steady guidance from Makoto and The Japanese Page, I was able to read it all with only a few glances at the notes. The collected Nihongo no Tane PDF files make an effective, entertaining reader, so I’m reading and re-reading them. Did you convert Episode #1 to an NFT and sell it?!
That’s great! Yumi will be glad to hear Nihongo no Tane helps. We took a break this week from the podcasts, but it will be back next week. We have several lined up for the next few weeks.
If I thought the demand would exceed one person, offering it as a NFT might be a good idea. 🙂
Thank you so much for using the material. It really makes our day.
I’m happy to read a part about yokai! Yokai are one of my favorite things about Japanese culture. I have few books on yokai, of which one describing many different yokai with funny drawings. However, the amanojaku is not in it, so I learned a new one today! 🙂
Thanks! Yes, Yokai are fascinating. In the Western world, we have our goblins and ogres, but yokai are different. They are somehow more real while still being absurd. We’ll do more yokai stories after a few more mukashi banashi stories.
