I love the punctuation joke!
It reminds me of a book about English punctuation. It has a picture of a giant panda on the cover, but the title is “Eats, shoots, & leaves.” ?

Yes! The link says the book was published in 2003, but I remember an English professor mentioning “Eats, Shoots, and Leaves” in the 1990s. He was a fun teacher. He would always start the class with a fun etymology story.
