Loved it. Hardest part of learning Japanese is translation. Always lots of ways to say the same thing. Enjoyed the process and seeing how many different ways you can say the same thing…lol. As if Kanji isn’t hard enough!
Thanks for your passion to teach Nihongo!
Yes! Definitely. There are usually several ways to express a thought and sometimes with a slight change in nuance. I think these exercises will help with understanding.
ist wirklich eine gute Möglichkeit, ins Sprechen zu kommen.
Bei der Sprechgeschwindigkeit wären feinere Abstufungen schön. 0,75 und 0,9 z.B.
0,5 ist fast zu langsam. Viele Grüße Dietmar
Thanks. I’ll see if I can’t do something like that. At least offer more options when I have a slowed down version.
Translation:
“is really a good way to get into speaking.
For the speaking speed, finer gradations would be nice. 0.75 and 0.9 for example.
0.5 is almost too slow.
Best regards,
Dietmar”
Glad you liked it! Honestly… I had forgotten about these exercises. Haha. But I think I was on to something. Forcing your brain to construct Japanese sentences from English concepts is a very useful exercise. I’ll work on more.
Very useful. Anything to break the English patterns so I can think more in Japanese. Again thanks for this section. I also enjoy your haiku and jidai sections as well. More challenging, but definitely more rewarding. :):):)
I have to go out of town tomorrow, but I am planning on doing at least one more this week. Since it does seem to be helpful (I’ve been getting comments and emails!) I’ll build it up as I have time.
These are great! Would love to see more.
Great! I’ll do more. I had forgotten about this section. It needs some immediate love. 🙂

Please keep these exercises coming. They are very helpful! And thank you for them.
Will do! Thank you.
Hi Clay,
Thank you for the three levels in this first lesson. Will there be more?
Best,
C Waity
